Welcome to my space for all things writing! Whether you’re looking for coaching, research support, line editing, copy editing, help with citations, or consulting, I can help. I have ten years of experience working in writing centers and writing intensive programs in various universities with graduate and undergraduate students from across the humanities and the sciences. My PhD is in music with an emphasis in ethnomusicology, so I have a special passion for helping musicians put their thoughts on paper, though I enjoy helping writers of all backgrounds refine their work. I am also available to music departments for consulting on writing for music and musicians, writing pedagogy, assessment, assignment scaffolding, and more.

For a sample of my editing and writing, check out Positioning Creativity in Ethnomusicology: Study and Practice, available in October of 2025 from Routledge as part of the CMS Emerging Fields in Music Series. I’m so proud of this anthology I co-edited with Brenda M. Romero. I also wrote one of the chapters, “Embodiment as a Step Toward a De/Anti-Colonial Study of Music,” and contributed to the writing of the Introduction, Epilogue, and Interludes. You’ll want to read the other chapters while you’re at it; all of the authors have thoughtful, distinct approaches to creativity in music higher education and timely perspectives on how ethnomusicology as a field engages the academy.
